∑ssential Study Skills Course
The Prospect High PTSA will be sponsoring a study skills course provided by ∑ngenius Learning Center. This course will focus on the essentials required to be successful in high school and college! There will be 4 90-minute classes from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Prospect High. Click here for details. In addition to the 4 lessons, your will be eligible for 3 tutoring lessons at ∑ngenius Learning Center of Cupertino to practice and master your new skills on existing homework, projects and test.

- Handling High School
- Writing Well (note taking and essay writing)
- Tackling Tests
- Handling Teachers
- Getting Organized
- Goal Setting
- Managing Your Time
- Note Taking
- Test Taking Strategies
The course will move fast and cover the essentials. Students will have the chance to practice their skills with a tutor at the ∑ngenius Learning Center from the first day of the course until April 15th.

ACT Practice Test for Prospect High
The Prospect High PTSA will be holding an ACT Practice test on Saturday, March 18th from 9 am to 12:30 pm. This is a full-length practice ACT with complete scores. The scores are confidential and do not go on your transcript. ∑ngenius Learning Center of Cupertino will administer and grade the exam.

Prospect High SAT Prep Class
Mike Flynn of ∑ngenius Learning Centers will teach a SAT Prep Class starting Tuesday, February 14th in preparation for the March and May SATs. Mike has taught test prep for over 30 years and knows the most critical information for students to learn.
The course will cover the following:
- New and improved test-taking strategies required for the redesigned SAT
- How to deal with the quirky No Calculator Math Section
- Learn the tips and tricks to the Math section (calculator allowed). BEWARE: sometimes the calculator is not your friend!
- Grammar review for the 5 key elements the SAT always tests
- Effective reading strategies that make the SAT reading section much easier
- Learn to write an essay the SAT readers will love!
Class Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm – February 14, 16, 28, and March 2nd (no class during the Winter Break)

SAT Practice Test for Prospect High
The Prospect PTSA will be holding a Scores Back/SAT Information Night on Thursday, February 2nd from 7 pm to 8 pm (location TBD). Students who took the SAT Practice Test on January 28th will get their scores back and Mike Flynn from ∑ngenius Learning Centers will be discussing the importance of the SAT for college admissions as well as the main differences between the ACT and SAT.
